Acceptance of Terms

2.1 Scope of Services
Ocean City Stump Grinding provides stump grinding, full stump removal, tree removal, and
related outdoor services in Ocean City, MD and surrounding areas including Dagsboro DE,
Berlin MD, Ocean Pines MD, West Ocean City MD, Rehoboth Beach DE, and Salisbury MD.
2.2 Service Agreements
All services are subject to a separate quote or estimate agreed upon between Ocean City
Stump Grinding and the customer prior to work commencing. By accepting a quote verbally, in
writing, or by allowing work to begin, you agree to the terms of that quote including the price,
scope of work, and any conditions noted.
2.3 Service Area
We reserve the right to decline service requests outside of our standard service area or in
situations where access to the property is insufficient for our equipment. We will communicate
any such limitations at the time of the quote.
2.4 Completion of Work
We strive to complete all jobs in a single visit. In the event that unforeseen circumstances (such
as equipment issues, weather, or site conditions) prevent same-day completion, we will
communicate promptly and reschedule at the earliest available time at no additional cost to the
customer.
Quotes, Pricing, and Payment
3.1 Free Estimates
We provide free estimates for all stump grinding and tree removal jobs. Estimates are based on
the information available at the time of the quote. The final price may be adjusted if the actual
scope of work differs materially from what was described or if additional stumps or work are
requested on-site.
3.2 Flat Rate Pricing
We operate on a fair, flat-rate pricing model. The price quoted is the price you pay. There are no
hidden fees, upsells, or surprise charges. Any additional work requested beyond the original
scope will be quoted separately and requires your approval before proceeding.
3.3 Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the agreed-upon work unless other arrangements have
been made in advance. We reserve the right to require a deposit for large or multi-day jobs.
Failure to remit payment may result in additional charges or legal action to recover outstanding
balances.
Customer Responsibilities
To ensure safe and efficient service, you agree to:
• Provide accurate information about the location, size, and number of stumps or trees to
be serviced when requesting a quote.
• Ensure clear and safe access to the work area for our equipment and crew on the
scheduled service date.
• Notify us of any underground utilities, irrigation lines, buried cables, or other hazards in
or near the work area before work begins. You are responsible for marking or identifying
such hazards.
• Keep people, children, and pets away from the work area during service.
• Obtain any required permits or HOA approvals for tree removal or stump grinding before
our arrival, if applicable.
• Ensure you have the legal right or authorization to have the work performed on the
property.
Ocean City Stump Grinding is not liable for damage to underground utilities, irrigation systems,
or other buried infrastructure that was not disclosed or marked prior to service.
Limitation of Liability
5.1 General Disclaimer
Ocean City Stump Grinding is fully licensed and insured. We carry general liability insurance
and workers' compensation coverage on all jobs. However, our liability is limited to the direct
and actual damages caused by our negligence, up to the amount paid for the specific service in
question.
5.2 Property and Underground Hazards
We are not responsible for damage to underground utilities, pipes, wires, irrigation systems, or
other subsurface infrastructure unless we were clearly notified of their location prior to beginning
work. It is the customers responsibility to identify and mark all such hazards.
5.3 Pre-existing Conditions
We are not responsible for any pre-existing damage, disease, decay, or instability in trees,
stumps, or surrounding property. We will notify you of any concerns we observe before
proceeding with work.
5.4 Indirect Damages
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ocean City Stump Grinding shall not be liable for any
indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our
services or your use of our website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such
damages.

justifiable reason, the deposit may be non-refundable. We will assess this on a case-by-case

committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly. Most concerns can be addressed with a
simple conversation.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation
before pursuing any legal action. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in
accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in
the appropriate courts of Worcester County, Maryland.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ocean City Stump Grinding, its owners,

(including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b)
